D23 2022: Robin Hood – Unrivaled Archer
Sapphire borrow — Feed the Poor, Good Shot, no apologies
6/P1 · folio slot photography forthcomingRobin Hood enters the folio the way he enters most stories: politely denying a crime while holding evidence. Collector number 6/P1. Sapphire. Storyborn Hero. Cost 6, a tidy 4/4/2, and two abilities that read like a mission statement. FEED THE POOR draws when an opponent’s hand is richer than yours on play. GOOD SHOT grants Evasive during your turn — Expo wording preferred “has Evasive”; retail later settled on “gains Evasive.” Same arrow. Slightly different grammar.
The quote does the rest of the work: “We never rob. We just sort of borrow a bit from those who can afford it.” On the Expo face, the flavor divider still wears an early pen-line treatment; retail switched to the book-line convention for movie quotes. John Loren supplies the aim. The stamps supply the provenance.

Card advantage dressed as charity; evasion dressed as marksmanship. Good Shot is the scientific justification for picking fights above your weight class — but only on your turn, which is either restraint or showmanship. Possibly both.
Promo vs. retail twin (diagnostic traits)
The retail twin arrives later in The First Chapter as Super Rare 157/204 — same Loren art family, same Feed the Poor / Good Shot toolkit — without the Expo stamps. Supporting tells include Good Shot wording polish and the flavor-quote divider change.
